What it is
An essential energising antioxidant, responsible for keeping cells alive. Co-enzyme Q10 deficiency results in heart damage, reduced brain function and cell death. Co-enzyme Q10 should be taken by everybody over 30 years of age. The new oil soluble co-enzyme Q10 is 30% better absorbed than conventional co-enzyme Q10.
What it does
Co-enzyme Q10 helps to maintain and support cardiovascular health. Co-enzyme Q10 helps to reduce the frequency of migraine headaches and associated nausea and vomiting when taken as a prophylactic. Co-enzyme Q10 is an antioxidant important for the maintenance of good health. Recommended for individuals using “statin” cholesterol medicines to prevent co-enzyme Q10 deficiency.
Co-enzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like compound present in virtually all cells and in especially high concentrations in the heart, liver, kidney, and pancreas. Its primary functions seem to include activity as an antioxidant, a membrane stabiliser, and as a cofactor in many metabolic pathways, particularly in the production of the energy rich molecule adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in oxidative respiration.
